Casting Call for Marshall’s Agency a sitcom pilot by Ed Wode

February 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I am very pleased that I am making a movie of one of Ed Wode’s plays. Ed produced 7 off Broadway plays and owned two theater companies in New York City. He has published several books also.

http://abunga.com/?d=product&productid=9780615141572

He has released a play, a sitcom pilot for me to do as a movie. This is a comedy and I will be looking for several cast members. The story takes place in an actor’s agency in Hollywood. It is very funny and risque. This will be submitted in Hollywood as a previs for a live action sitcom TV show.

Below you will find the cast list. There are currently four roles still open. If you are interested in being in this very funny sitcom pilot, just let me know and send me a link to a movie you have been in if you have not been in one of my movies before. Two of the actors, Allen Marsh and Rebecca Michaels are professinal actors but do not be intimidated by that. They are extraordinary and Allen is playing the lead. I was laughing so hard just listening to his lines. You do not need to be a professional actor to audition. Just send me a link to any voice overs you have done. I can be reached at lucinda@lucindamc123.com. This is a very nice opportunity and a hilarious show.

MARSHALL’S AGENCY

MAIN CHARACTERS

MARSHALL MACPHERSON – A roly-poly devil may care, somewhat irresponsible, child-like individual who in his own eyes is the opposite of all these shortcomings. His “agency” is not only supposed to obtain jobs for actors, but to save them from the evils of the world. It specializes in handicapped and quirky individuals.

JANE – The long suffering erratically paid secretary of the agency. She is cute, terse, hard, efficient and all business. Don’t expect any favoritism here. She rides herd on Marshall who kids her about being under worked and overpaid.

LARRY – A tall, thin, blond black man, very trendy in every way. He is Marshall’s agent stooge who never gets a proper update from Marshall and is therefore misinformed about many “Agency” matters. (This can be a white actor instead)

DR. GOLDEN – He is a ninety-year-old health fanatic who owns a juice bar-restaurant in addition to being a medical doctor. He’s comically cagey, playing senile when it suits him to get what he wants. He has become a backer of the “Agency” to help pretty starving actresses stay healthy.

ED RIZZOLI – Ed is a reformed TAGGER who, after Hollywood bought his life story, has become a screenwriter. He is the “Agency’s” most successful writer.

SUSIE DEWSIE – She is a terminally pretty actress who has become an actress to help overcome her stuttering.

GEORGETTE – She is an overweight, flashy “fire head” who is willing to do anything it takes to become a star, especially sleep with PRODUCERS or DIRECTORS.

KEN KLIPER – He is a killer-handsome actor who is totally irresponsibly addicted to seducing every female actress he can.

CRISSY WELLS – A teen-age look-alike actress who falls for Ken until she finds out how shallow and insincere he is.

Plagiarism is not cool, it is stupid!

December 4, 2008 · 1 Comment

Yesterday a movie I made with Moviestorm will be broadcast over Time Warner Cable KC On Demand TV channel 113 beginning next week. When I got the offer to have my movie on TV, I was so glad that I had all the rights to the music and any other material I used in that film. I have been very strict about using original material or obtaining rights to material I use in my films for a long time. I know a lot of machinima makers use copyrighted material and music in their films. Yes using a pop song will get your movies a lot of hits on You Tube, but you never know who will see it and you never know what opportunity you might miss because you did not first clear the rights to this music with the owner before you used it in your film. Plagiarism is not cool it is stupid! Everything that is shown over a TV channel has to have copyright clearance whether it be for a piece of music, a sound file or a small photograph.

And that is another reason why I am so happy I have used Moviestorm because when I use Moviestorm I own all the rights to the material I create with it. You can download the base pack of Moviestorm for free at http://moviestorm.co.uk.

To the general public machinima is something new and they are amazed that something like a film can be created on a home computer with zero budget. The potential for commercial and films is unlimited for this type of film.

Feed the Hungry

December 4, 2008 · 1 Comment

I am doing a video for the Christian Rock band, STRIVE for their song, FIRE, which has become very popular. I decided to use the video to promote interest in helping food pantries in many cities to get publicity and attention. Our economy is so bad now that we don’t realize that means that food pantries who feed the homeless and poor are running out of food. And this is in the United States. The movie will be about a wealthy young married couple who are fighting and then they see a news story about how the local food pantries in their city could not afford to give people turkeys for Thanksgiving and so had to give chickens. They were so touched about this news story that it changed their lives. So what I am asking is not that you give anything or buy anything. I want you to give me the website addresses of food pantries in your local towns and cities so that they will be in the credits for this film. It will help get attention to those establishments who are trying to help people.

Yesterday a movie I made will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable TV channel 113 KC on Demand beginning next week and will play for an indefinite period of time. I signed a year contract with them.Music – Tremble – written and performed by Daniel Stang and Yesterday, written and performed by Daniel Stang and Kyle Blackwood. Prop 8 is wrong. Discrimination is wrong. All Americans have the right to enter a contract. Marriage and adoption are contracts. Love is so rare in this world, why not celebrate it.
